Saving Up!

Last year I bought a piggy bank for Carly to keep the money that me and my hubby received and going to receive from Christmas and birthday's. I save up all this money for her college education, I start saving up early for her in that way when she reach eighteen hopefully we have saved enough for her to spend to go to college.

CARLY'S PIGGY BANK
I just want to put it in a piggy bank for now because I want to wait maybe a year or less than that to open a bank account for her where we can add money every month for her savings.
But her daddy is very anxious to open her piggy bank and count the money in it and open a bank account very soon but I said just wait it might not have enough in there. I don't think he can wait for a year  because he said it's not safe to keep a cash in the house because you'll never know somebody might break in.( I hope not we do have security alarm though but still scary thinking about it).

ROSE'S PURSE BANK
Yesterday I bought one for myself it's a purse bank, I saw this pretty purse in the store so I bought it. I will put some money in there that I earn from my crafts and other stuff that I make money out of for my vacation going back home someday. When I saw it on the shelve in the store I'm thinking oh wow this is perfect for my vacation savings, If I saw a luggage bank I could have buy one too ha-ha so that I can put more coins in it.

I know some people don't use piggy banks anymore this days because there are real banks now where you can keep your money with interest plus it's safer but for me I'm still using it because whenever I have a change I just drop it in there, safer also for my toddler that everything goes in the mouth when she see small things. And when it's full I'll take it to the coin machine that you can find in some grocery store and change it into a bill.

How about you guys do you have a piggy bank at home? Where do you keep all your coins?

  2. The rose purse bank is very pretty! And it's good that you bought it because if it can motivate you to save more by putting money there, then the chances of you succeeding in this endeavor is high! :) Good luck!

  3. Those are really cute coin banks! Me and my boyfriend, we used to keep separate coin banks for loose change. This post reminds me to buy new ones. Thanks! And yes, always be careful with your money at home please! :-)

  4. I used to have a bear coin bank supposedly for our travel expenses. I'm planning to have another one, but using a bamboo only. My grandmother kept a bamboo coin bank. When she had a stroke attack, we opened it and used it for some of the expenses.

  5. My son has a coin bank too. Whenever he did something good, I gave his coins he can put inside his coin bank. We already opened an account for him and we got from there his tuition fee. Every month we deposit an amount so that we can save for his education. But our original plan is to give that savings account when he graduated from college. He may start a small business after :)
