Homemade pizza

Thank GOD its Friday it means can sleep in tomorrow except to those who works on Saturdays. Since it's Friday, in our house it's pizza day hubby always want to have pizza for dinner sometimes on Friday. So I'm going to make pizza from scratch normally we just order pizza online or bought a ready made pizza crust in the store and I just fix my favorite toppings and bake it, but today I'm going to make my own crust for the very first time we'll see how it turns out.

" PIZZA"

Ingredients

For the crust:
  1. 2 cups flour
  2. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  3. 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  4. 1 teaspoon yeast
  5. 3/4 cup water
For the toppings:
  1. onions
  2. black olives
  3. green bell pepper
  4. jalapeno (hot pepper)
  5. banana peppers
  6. shredded mozzarella cheese
  7. pizza sauce (store bought)
METHOD:
  1. Sift the dry ingredients in a bowl and add water. Knead well on the floured surface until its soft. Leave it in a buttered bowl, covered in a warm place to rise and double in size.
  2. Lightly oil the pizza tin. Flatten it in a large size pizza tin then put the sauce first then the mozzarella cheese and add the vegetables on top of the cheese.
  3. Bake it in a pre heated oven in 400 degree for 23 minutes.
NOTES:
  1. Make the dough ahead of time because it takes couple hours to rise up.
  2. Covered the bowl with the dough in it with either aluminum foil or plastic wrap set it aside in room temperature.
  3. always buttered the pizza tin before putting the dough on it to prevent from sticking when its cooked.
  4. If there is no butter cooking spray work just fine.
Use rolling pin to flatten the dough and place it on the pizza tin, spread the sauce on top and sprinkle the cheese on top of the sauce then the veggies.
Ready to pop in the oven
The good thing about home made is you can put anything you like on your pizza base on what's available in your pantry and your fridge.
This is for me and Carly without hot peppers and I add turkey deli meat on it.

And the verdict is yummylicious this is my third slice.
This is for hubby with hot stuff on it, he loves spicy food.

Two more left, that's how good it is he-he. The crust really turns out pretty good so from now on I will make my own pizza. Besides its cheaper  you can make it even healthier and super yummy just add on your favorite meat and veggies and more cheese.
To all pizza lover I recommend to try it at home because it's really good and it's very fast and easy to make.
That's it for today guys have a happy weekend!

Gift Wrapping Tutorial Design #2

This week I will share to you another gift wrapping design, I'll just put design #2 since this is my second one so far.
This present I wrapped for my friend's grandkid's birthday she requested to wrap it nicely because she wants it to be special and pretty looking on her special day. So lets get started.

THINGS YOU NEED:
  1. Clear tape
  2. Scissor
  3. Tape measure
  4. Ribbon (white, 1 or 3/4 inch width  in size)
  5. Bow ( color of your choice)
Take the white ribbon and cut about 25 centimeter long and cut it into three parts.
Take one piece and fold it in half and cut it into six straight lines.
The best way to divide it into six is to cut the center first then cut each side into three.
You will need 100 centimeters of ribbon or more for this design but it varies on how long is the present.
Take a piece of the cut one and fold it in opposite way, it helps to make the design stand out and prettier.
connect both ends by taping it together.
Repeat until you finish all 100 centimeters. It's 12 pieces altogether.
This design applies when your present is long or you put it in a rectangular box.
Take each piece and tape it on the center of the box that been wrapped in long way same direction as the box. Just place it on top of each other, six pieces on each side.
Make sure to leave a space on the center for the bow.
Place your beautiful bow on the center.
 Quick, simple, easy and pretty.
I hope that I explain it very well for you guys to follow, this is another easiest and simplest design again that I can share to all of you.I'm sure you can do it at home also just be patient to do all the cutting and measuring. I know It's not going to be perfect for the first try and many mistakes are expected especially the cutting part but that's okay keep on trying until you get it.

When you practice now you will be good at it when Christmas time come because that is the time that we will be wrapping a lot of gifts right? So why not start today! Go grab the things that you need and start wrapping with an empty box that's how I started when the first time I was still learning and after I wrap it I display it in my room so that I can see my beautiful creation everyday.

Stay tuned for more tutorial and beautiful gift wrapping design, Whenever you are thinking to wrap a gift and need any ideas feel free to visit my blog http://bowsbyrose.bogspot.com

Gift Wrapping Tutorial Design #1

This is going to be my first gift wrapping tutorial, so to those who love wrapping a presents for special occasions I will share to you some of my gift wrapping skills that I've learned over the years.

Things you need:
  1. Clear tape
  2. Tape measure
  3. Scissor
  4. Ribbons ( 1 inch size)
  5. Bows
  6. Wrapping paper (and the presents that you are going to wrap

Today I will show you the most simplest design. For the bow you can buy any bows  in the store that already made, color of your choice and you can buy also the ribbons that match with your bow color. It is not necessarily that the ribbon and the bow are in the same color you can choose and try any other colors as long as they go well together.

The very first step is to put your presents in the box and wrap it with the gift wrapper of your choice. Take the ribbon and place it lengthwise and crosswise on the center of the wrapped box
TIPS:

  1. Used box such as(shoe box, cardboard box, any type of box depends the size of your presents) is perfect for reusing it.
  2. The opening always face up, tape it before wrapping the box.
  3. Use tape measure to measure the box, make sure your bow is on the center and not crooked.

Cut the ribbon into half about 50 centimeter long
to make a curls. Using the scissor just slide it through like the picture above.
stick the curls in each angle using the tape
Put the bow on the center
This is what it looks like afterwards. Very easy doesn't it?

See you again next time for more exciting tutorial.
Have a great day ahead!

Asian Festival 2014

A little bit late but I just want to share our happy week end with my kiddo and hubby at Asian  festival that held once a year where there are lots of activities going on and bunch of booths to browse that sells different varieties of stuffs from different Asian countries. There were lots of food too in different  cuisine and one of my favorite was chicken satay from Thailand but of course I tried the Filipino food first, the pork barbeque and pansit(stir fry noodles)yummy.
As we look around and check out booths I saw a group of people dancing on the stage where they dance a hola (a Hawaiian dance)so we sat down and watch. When they finish dancing they ask from the audience who wants to volunteer and learn a hola dance and they will teach a basic hola moves and of course I volunteer  it's kinda interesting and fun so I tried it.
And of course my little one wants to join too.

Then when we were done there we went outside and check another shows that's on, on the other side where they have a stage also.
Here's some drummers
An Indian performers dance too to their Indian music to represent their country and their culture which is so much fun to dance. You can see the video if you click this link below.
And of course I was there goofing around he-he. I think I burnt a lot of calories on that day from dancing. There were more to watch but I didn't get to see everything, the one I mentioned here are the one that I've watched. It was so much fun, and before we head home we stop by one of the booth to get a caricature of my family which is so cool.
Taaaaddda....

That was a fun weekend I will definitely go back again next year!

Have a great day everyone....

Saving Up!

Last year I bought a piggy bank for Carly to keep the money that me and my hubby received and going to receive from Christmas and birthday's. I save up all this money for her college education, I start saving up early for her in that way when she reach eighteen hopefully we have saved enough for her to spend to go to college.

CARLY'S PIGGY BANK
I just want to put it in a piggy bank for now because I want to wait maybe a year or less than that to open a bank account for her where we can add money every month for her savings.
But her daddy is very anxious to open her piggy bank and count the money in it and open a bank account very soon but I said just wait it might not have enough in there. I don't think he can wait for a year  because he said it's not safe to keep a cash in the house because you'll never know somebody might break in.( I hope not we do have security alarm though but still scary thinking about it).

ROSE'S PURSE BANK
Yesterday I bought one for myself it's a purse bank, I saw this pretty purse in the store so I bought it. I will put some money in there that I earn from my crafts and other stuff that I make money out of for my vacation going back home someday. When I saw it on the shelve in the store I'm thinking oh wow this is perfect for my vacation savings, If I saw a luggage bank I could have buy one too ha-ha so that I can put more coins in it.

I know some people don't use piggy banks anymore this days because there are real banks now where you can keep your money with interest plus it's safer but for me I'm still using it because whenever I have a change I just drop it in there, safer also for my toddler that everything goes in the mouth when she see small things. And when it's full I'll take it to the coin machine that you can find in some grocery store and change it into a bill.

How about you guys do you have a piggy bank at home? Where do you keep all your coins?

Carly's 1s't Birthday Blast

Hello everyone I'm back it's been a while I didn't  visit my blog due to my little girl's birthday party preparation who is turned ONE last Saturday. Time flies so fast seems like it was just recently I had a baby and now she's already one.
I want to share with you guys Carly's birthday photos, I did held it at the park unfortunately the weather didn't agree with my party it was super windy. I can't decorate the shelter real good were I originally planned to make it look nice but the wind just blows everything but I can't complain with mother nature I'll take it better than rain.
Here's my two Minnie mouse's, the celebrant and the cake
 Cupcakes and another cake
Despite the windy weather the kids had so much fun with the games.
Since I connot reach the ceiling to hang the piƱata and the hanging candies(pabitin) I just hold it for them to reach it, well it works good.
I also had a game for the adults a balloon race
where they walk with the balloon between their knees. It was funny and fun to watch them racing and of course the winner has a prize.
She was asleep for two hours in the party so we have to wait until she wakes up so that we can sing happy birthday and smash her cake because the kids are excited and ready to eat the cake and cupcakes. But of course since she just woke up she don't want to sit in the high chair so mommy has to hold her. I don't have to light up the candle because it's windy and she just poke the cake and taste it a little bit, I think she's not waking up completely to do all that stuff that's why the cake still in shape.
Cutting the cake
Thank you so much to everyone who gave the gifts I really appreciate it.
Carly says thank you for my awesome and wonderful gifts, I like them all.
Me and carly would like to say thank you to all the people who came to the party and celebrate with us it was a fun-tastic day with so much joy and laughter. Thank you also to all my friends and family who's giving me a hand and for helping me out to make the party happen I really appreciate it so much.
Now you guys know why I was absent for couple weeks, this is what I was busy for he-he I'm glad to be back.
Actually I already posted this but I have to repost it again because maybe some of you haven't seen this yet hehehe.
